We took our first “family” vacation, a trip to Chicago for a family reunion. We had the best time ever (although it wasn’t very ‘relaxing’) as Cannon and Amy got to meet the extensive set of cousins, aunts, and uncles that fill my Mom’s side of the family, as well as my Dad’s sisters.

We picked up one of the poly-pools for Cannon and he enjoyed it quite a bit, as evidenced by these pictures. Also Amy and Rod got the floor of the shower done, just needs to be sealed and it will be usable. Oh, and Cannon got his face painted with cream cheese by Stella. Good times.

For some reason, on the Baby Einstein “Baby McDonald” DVD, Cannon has decided that he HATES the horse puppet in one of the skits, where it eats a sunflower at a picnic. We thought it was the horse puppet he hated, but he’s OK with it everywhere else. Anyway, here’s his reaction when he saw it. By the way, we didn’t sit there and torture him all day with it or anything. I just played it so I could record his reaction so 15 years from now we can show it to his girlfriend.
